Some of you may remember my TBS startup thread from years ago and I thought you might like to see some pictures of my tank that's been up for 13 years. Many of the corals an one of the fish have been in the tank for its entire life. 90% of my corals were grown from small frags or were brought back to life from dead stock I acquired from a LFS.

Equipment is mostly home engineered such as the sump and filtration systems. Flow is provided by a Tunze 6100 (still going strong after 13 years) and a strong return pump. The system has a chiller that is set at 76 degrees. Old aqua-C urch in sump skimmer also still working well.

For the past 3 years I have been running the tank on a quarterly 10 gallon water change to in the past 3 years only 80 gallons have been replaced.

I recently cleaned up the tank, added LED lighting and started using a new line of additives from coralreefing.

I will be updating the thread to show the tanks process from being in a very light maintenance schedule back to a weekly water change.

I love seeing tanks that have been running for a long time! Its beautiful! Thanks for sharing

Wow, that if fantastic. That Blasto is huge, not to mention all the other mature colonies.

Thanks for sharing.

I will post some closeups of some of the colonys. There is a really large Duncan in the middle of the tank that was started from 3 heads.

Nearly all of the larger pieces took up 1/4 of the tank at one point in its life. I have had to break up the frogspawn every year and usually give away most, same for montipora, etc. That crazy toadstool took up almost 1/2 the tank and I split it down the middle. Finally grew back into a circle. It is weird as there is frogspawn growing inside the base. Blasto started at three heads and has never been fragged and same for Duncan coral but those are not as old. Perhaps 3-5 years old or so.
