Rick I know a calcium reactor is ideal but I'm never home and leaving a few pre mix containers and adding it to the containers it's a lot easier for a tank sitter.

Just don't get a false sense of security. Things can happen with any kind of additive setup when out of town.

nice! nothing better than having a heavy bioload and being able to feed like crazy and have good parameters. That is what grows healthy colorful coral.

I'm really happy with this system the only thing I have to work with is my sump I hace to organize it a little better I get detritus build up so I want to stop that

Nice, Everything looks great and love the peninsula style set up you did. I found my coral looking Pale when i tested at 0.02 not sure that was the reason but it's now a little higher 0.06 and colors are brighter. I do feed like crazy though at least 3 x a day but fish are fat and happy.

Yea bill same here I feed a lot you see how fat my tangs are I might need to slow down on feeding and add nutrients a diferent way with trace elements supplements or aminos things like that. Thanks for the heads up on corals turning pale I'll keep an eye on them

My dog leaves the aquarium alone for the most part. The only time I saw him near it or interested in it was when he came back from the vet all doped up after having a surgery. He followed the Foxface back and forth from end to end of the tank for about ten minutes. It was pretty funny to watch.
