14 degrees F outside and power outage!

Heaters take a ton of power and a UPS won't run them for long. Lots of good advice above - in general, minimize heat loss by wrapping the tank with a layer of insulation - foam boards, sleeping bags, etc. Hot water in either ziplock bags or plastic bottles will help to warm the tank.

Power finally came back on 5 hours later. Temp got down to 72. Everything seems ok. All fish are accounted for and doing fine except for my social fairy wrasse. It did not come out of hiding, so hopefully will see it in the morning. All corals look good, except for my hammer that is pretty much closed up.

The only weird thing is that all my fish have changed territories for some reason. My diamond goby that always barricades itself at the front of the tank is now in the middle. My purple and red firefish both changed their sleeping/hiding spots. My tailspot that's always in the same barnacle hole is now inside the rock work. My royal gramma that is usually in the rock work is now on the floor underneath one of my frag rocks. Maybe they'll go back to their old places tomorrow?

Thanks to everyone who quickly replied with ideas. R2R community is the best. Good thing it wasn't like an outage we had 2 years ago. 23 hours. Brutal. Definitely a good learning experience to be better prepped for the next one.

This ordeal is over, but I also have to address another issue in my tank I need advice with. Will post that up tomorrow.
