14 Gallon Biocube first saltwater build

So back in March of this year (2018) I purchased a used 14 gallon Biocube and began my saltwater journey. I try and post several times over the next few days to get caught up to current. I am open to any input you all may have and look forward to being able to look back at this thread as a reference. Here is the tank after getting it home and getting it going that first night.

After a few days the tank cleared up and I waited for the rock from the lfs to do its thing and the tank to cycle.

The aquascape is really interesting for a small tank. I like all of the nooks and crannies. The only concern would be it may be difficult to clean the side glass.

I would suggest thinking again about the right pillar. You will not be able to use that large rock for any coral, since it's shaded, if you need to support the upper shelf, put a tonga branch or even acrylic rod. and you can then move the large rock that currently acting as pillar as on islan (lay flat, instead of making it stand up), then you can make it a zoa garden, or acans or even ricordias. keep a nepthea in the center etc. It looks good anyway. Left pillar is ok, since its gradual, has steps, you can do a lot of corals with this rockscape. Good job

Welcome aboard and thank you for sharing. You have some nice rock there. Maybe keep a couple of smaller pieces in a chamber (if there is room) to give the display more swim area. Just don't let the rock touch the glass and give it enough clearance for cleaning.

I can't wait to see what you do with it. I really like the BioCubes. I always have.
