Hello everyone so I picked up a 14 gallon oceanic biocube last night and had a question about lighting. The tank comes with PC lights but the blue bulb is missing same with the ballast for the blue bulb. Before I order a new ballast and bulb for 80 bucks is there any LED upgrades I can do for around the same price that will be enough par/lighting for a anemone and maybe some sps coral? I've never had power compact lighting and not sure if it will be enough for my mini mixed reef..

Thanks!

I have a 29g Biocube and in my opinion ditching the stock lid and adding a good overhanging or goosenecked LED works well. Maybe the kessil 160 N "Narrow variety" for that small a tank. Opening the lid provides the gas exchange needed across the surface of the water. It requires more maintenance like adding more of the evaporated water but with a 14g that won't be a huge issue. I do put the stock lid back on if I'm going out of town for more than three days (automatic feeder) as I don't have a ATO on that tank. Just my 2 cents
