Sad day, my 3yrs old mandarin passed on, really got attached to that little guy!

3 years, I had two that lasted 5 days. From what I have read, Mandarins are pretty hard to keep. Since I did not have any luck and blue one would look pretty cool in your tank.

3 years is pretty long time to keep a Mandarin alive.

Yeah probably will but that guy was special in a weird kind of way -he would come up to the window and actually greet me, I've never seen one do that before, main reasons I got really attached to him.

3 years, I had two that lasted 5 days. From what I have read, Mandarins are pretty hard to keep. Since I did not have any luck and blue one would look pretty cool in your tank.

Yeah he was fat so I don't think he succumbed to any parasites I think it was more just old age I restock my tank every couple of months with a fresh batch of pods so I don't think he was starving.

I know the feeling. My blenny eats out of my hand and such a cool guy. Would hate to see him go

Sorry to hear about your mandarin[emoji20] I have always loved those fish but never been able to keep them alive. I understand being attached to a fish also. I had an orange saddle wrasse that would come up to the glass and great me, eat out of my hand, spit water at me and play bite (I can tell it was a play bite because he accidentally bit my finger once instead of the silverside and it was a lot harder) and then one day he died[emoji17]

Thanks, my bluethroat female is anything but shy! She's first in line at that dinner line - so to speak, always willing to come up and nibble out of my hand, specially if I've got krill.

Yeah truly sucks you get attached to them, you don't think you would but you do, they truly become an extended part of your family so to speak. Sorry for your loss!

Awesome tank! Any trouble with the Blue Throat Triggerfish? I'd like to get one of those, or some sort of Angel, but have mixed feelings going into a reef. Thanks!
