Well I'm picking up a biocube in a trade here in a few... I'm never satisfied with the stock versions, but luckily this one comes with LEDs.

I can't wait to see what their filtration looks like. The last cube I owned I plumbed with my old 125...and yes I'm going to do it again! Only this time it will be a part of my 90 reef.

Ok so the biocube came with a stunner strip and a panorama pro (no reflector)

Anybody know what the capabilities are in this tank on a scale from Cyanobacteria to clam? :)
Basically just a limit. These LEDs are fun. Color changing my kitchen as we speak!

Sorry about the delay! Neighbors were launching mortars at our roof so we had to go take care of business and I hosed off the roof just incase it was on fire!

All I have hooked up is an actinic pc to purple up my rock work. The water will clear up soon and I will put the LEDs back on and play with them for a while!

I'm going to have to figure something out or else the lights are gonna have to go. Possibly drain, drill, and add a huge sump to possibly help. Possibly :)
Would 1500gph be too much for a return pump!? Bwaahaahaa

Tanks 83 degrees though. Gotta figure out a way to cool, most likely a fan

I tilt the top of my nano open all the time to keep the temp down. I'm surprised that the lights are generating so much heat. Good luck!

Well the LEDs are not hot, its the actinic pc light I put in it. It was a cheap fixture with no fan, the cubes fans were removed so that could very well be the culprit.

Looks like it's going to be a great nano. :)

Nano oven more like! Ahhhhh. Maybe I'll have time today to mess with it, until then I'm sorry leftover snails if you get cooked :(

Oh I should mention the total cost of what I have shouldn't I?

Tank w/ LEDs, sand, stand, and chemicals: one andis 2x speed pro dog clippers and 5 blades that I used well beyond their initial purchase price.

Pc light: part of a trade for a lionfish last year. New bulb: $14

Live rock: also a trade for renewable resources (corals)

Other than that I haven't put any hard cash straight into the tank.

Is anyone else getting bit by Mosquitos?

Well I decided to move the tank to a cooler room. I just drained it halfway and man handled it about 35 feet. I had a big poncho burrito for dinner (gigantic) and needed to do something about the bloating haha. I'll give it about an hour or 2 to level out and check the temp

So the tank was red hot in the other room, watch as it cools off after the relocation!

Ahhh just right, goldilocks would eat this bowl of porridge for sure! Temp is now at 78.6! Woohoo!

The rocks didn't come with the tank, but this bleached out palythoa did. I'm tryin to color it back up and find out what it is. Right now it looks like white-ish brown nasty.

Stocking this tank will be a chore given its tiny-ness. I'm not even sure these lights support coral! Stunner strip is purplish-blue and pretty dim compared to what I assumed. The color changing thing is bright, but photosynthetically capable? Idk yet. Guess ill throw a mushroom in and see when I frag my Ric rock from my 90.

Shows how much I know about biocubes. Within about 12 seconds of comparing online I realized it was a 12 gallon AQUAPOD. MY BAD!!! Haha. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I just never really mess with biocubes up close so now I know.

First thing I did was glue a piece of plastic over the mid level intakes. This helped with surface scum, but nearly overflowed the tank so I replaced the teeth with another flat piece of plastic that allowed more flow. The chambers are all empty. There's a heater and the return pump. I'm gettin a red light for the refugium chamber soon.

This tank is lookin pretty cool. When the lights kick on I will snap some pics. I did away with the hood too. More o2!
