150 gal Reef Build

I Just bought an apex last month and it's the best purchase I have made for my tank. Such great automation options. You won't be sorry. That sump design is sweeT too! Such a well thought out design that gives you so much versatility. I don't have any experience with the vortechs but once people have them they tend to fall in love. Apex has a great program for them as well. Good luck!

Yeah I'm excited to set it up and play around with the controls. I heard from many people it's a great purchase and a great system. I intend to buy at least one MP40 QD and would like to do video comparing the flow and output with the MP40 vs RW-15 and make a determination from there. The sump design was a daunting design lol, but I tried to capture all the what ifs in this design. I understand there will be small things here and there but the basic principles were captured. Just excited to throw some frags in there lol! Thanks Dexter!

Got a great deal on two MP40w ES pumps. They both were never used and the guy just needed cash due to unemployment. Never owned one of these pumps, what is the best setting to run?

Update!!

Slow going on the build, but like everyone says patience is a virtue. Wanted to share with everyone my finished sump, I placed a 55 gallon barrel in the sump for scale purposes. With this sump I wanted to keep it simple with my overflow area, frag area and fuge/return (dimensions, 72" x 24" x 16"). I plan to have a friend build my stand next weekend and when that's in I can dry plumb the tank.
