150 gallon tank water level

Where should my water level be? It's right at the top now. Should it be a little lower?

I do not have a so-called rimless tank so I can't honestly answer. But based on my preference I would not have it that full.

If a powerhead starts to shoot upward you're going to have water everywhere outside of your tank.

Also if you are forced to work inside the tank anything you put in it will cause it to overflow.
