150 gallon tank with one drain

My LFS sold me a 150 gallon tank with one corner overflow. Inside the overflow there are two holes: one 1” for the drain and one 3/4” for the return. Is the one 1” drain sufficient?
 
Sounds like you have a 4ft 150g .... yes the 1” is enough for a plenty big return ... what, you gonna Herbie that noisy sucka?

Herbie uses two drains. I only have one. Going to try the durso drain.

You can use both holes as drains to make a herbie. One will be your siphon and the other the backup then have your return pipe just go up and over the rim of the tank.

thanks ...I shudda clarified.... but yeah my RTN is via a U-tube on the back, here is a pic, pardon the blue light:
