150g fun

Urchins!

I purchased a package from Marco rocks that included 50 lbs and a 5lb bucket of their bonding mortar. I read up and it seemed like several people had good results using the mortar.

Hey Tomoko! Hope you are doing well.

I got RO/DI water going in the tank tonight. My unit is 75 gpd, so I'll let it run overnight and see how much is there tomorrow...

Hi Jason,

I am doing well. Thank you :)

I also use 75G RODI membrane now. It's quite a bit slower than the previous 100G membrane especially with the cold temp lately. It makes me want to install a booster pump...

I've emailed reefrocks.net three times asking the status of my order. Called today and no answer. Starting to get a little worried!

This is how much water I generated after 3 days. I guess my RO/DI is outputting a good bit less than 75 gpd.

The room that the aquarium is in is on the far end of the house. The water source for the RO/DI is on the other side of the house. I ran polytube through the attic, and brought it down in the wall behind the tank. Here is how I feed it to the tank. When I need water, I pull the hose out far enough to reach in the tank. Then I go turn the RO/DI unit on. I am able to pull it out 5-6 feet, so I can fill up a water change container near the tank.

The text in the previous post was supposed to say here is the 50 lb Marco rock order. The greenish rocks in the garage table picture are leftover rocks from an old tank that was taken down in 2005-ish. This, and a couple of rocks in the 40g are what I have to work with for this new tank...

Wow that looks real nice. To me, half the fun is placing the rocks just right, then doing it a different way four or five times. Lol
