I know for the big tank owners it's much more difficult to do frequent water changes and there's much more of a chance for nitrate reactors or other means of keeping water in check. Personally on my reefer 450, about a 100g total system or so I do a bi-weekly water change of about 20-25g. I'm thinking of switching to weekly 10-15g changes although my nitrates seem to always be 5-10 right after the change and the day of the water change after 2 weeks. Have a pretty heavily stocked tank.. There's my rant. What does everyone else do?

1 gallon every 4 hours (6g/day, 42g/wk) on my 320g system via Genesis auto water change system.

I have a 210 (with 40 breeder frag system plumbed together) and I do 30 gal water change every week. It is as simple as putting one end of 1" flex PVC in the tank and the other in the toilet and siphon out 30 gal. Once done, I moved the flex PVC from tank to my saltwater bin and attach to pump and pump 30 gal of new saltwater into the tank. Takes about 10 min total.

Another auto water changer here. On my 200 i used a cole parmer pump that ran several times a day, changing about 2% per day.

No water changes here on a 215-gallon tank.
