My tank is 60"l x 24" d x 27" high, the bottom is euro braced, but I don't want to use euro bracing on the top.!! So i'm thinking of using 1 1/4" x 1/8" aluminum angle metal glued on all the corners {27"} Maybe someone on the #reefsquad can set me straight. thanks.... All glass is 1/2"

I Wouldn’t even consider this an option. If it’s euro braced it’s because the tank wall thickness most likely needs the bracing. What you are suggesting is what seems to be a disaster waiting to happen

I built this tank myself, it is not a production tank. The tank didn't come with euro bracing! I was watching a video from u tube of a 180 gal rimless with corner bracing, without euro bracing thats where i got the idea

I would not trust 1/2" that is 27" deep on it's own. I would definitely euro brace or do the aluminum bracing like I did.

Would the 11/4" aluminum bracing the OP would like to use be enough? I was thinking probably nothing smaller than 2" myself but that's beyond my expertise. I too doubt the 1/2" glass even with the bracing...

I'm curious as to what adhesive you were thinking would adhere strongly to both glass & aluminium ?

OK, As I have not assembled the glass yet, i think I will cut it down to 24" Can you send me a pic of how you did the aluminum bracing if it's not to much trouble. I'm at a stand still until i can get some accurate information. THANKS
