Hi All,

looking for some thoughts/tips on my 15g column GSP nano reef build.

I always loved the idea of a column tank and have had this one for a while, I started it out a few years ago and it’s finally starting to take better shape.

I really want the GSP to take over all the rocks, and would love any comments/info on how I can get it to really grow out.

tank currently has an Ai Prime, fluval 307 (w/ I line uv sterilizer I added today), and 2 small power heads. Stock is just a maroon clown and an algae blenny +hermits/snails

It definitely needs a clean and water change, but having just added the sterilizer I wanted to let that run at least 24-48 hours before messing around in there.

do the cut pieces need to be a certain size? Or does it not really matter as ling as there are polyps?

Also - any suggestions on better suction cups for the intake?

the fines the filter came with were fine for a while, but like usual after a year they stopped having good suction. Would really like the intake to stop dangling off the glass

That’s what I thought - I’ve seen people do videos and they just seem to go for it.
I’ve fragged mine once. I just cut off some of the fingers that were growing out and glued them to a couple of spare frag plugs. It was the easiest thing I have done since getting back into the hobby :winking-face:

It’s funny to see how big of a difference the UV Sterilizer has made in just 24hrs.
The tank has had some minor issues with diatoms, so the sterilizer was a much needed addition.
