I had an idea and I was hopping someone else had some experience with it. I am thinking about getting a second display tank. My girlfriend is really into sea horses and softy corals. What I am thinking of doing is adding a second display tank to my current 90g dt/30g sump. I am looking at a 15 g column due to the size of space the tank will need to be located. I plan to plumb the overflow into my current sump. That way I don't need to get a new skimmer, filter..... I plan to put a little rock and sand in the 15g. I also plan to add some softie corals like zoa and leathers? Something small but colorful. She also likes corals that flow/eat. I may also add some dragons breath macro to help support the copepods population. Thoughts?

I'm hoping to put the tank where the plant is currently located.

I had the same idea.
I plumbed a 15 gal. Into my 125 system.
I have a 55 gal as my sump.
My original plan was to make it a display Refugium but that planned shifted gears and is now a tank that I keep corals that my Red Sea tang decides he wants to pick on.
It's a lot of fun having 2 tanks

Did ether o you drill our 15g? or did you use a siphon overflow?

Has anyone ever drilled a 15g column or a 20g hex aqueon aquarium. Im Thinking of adding an overflow on the back.
