Welcome back to the reef life. I'm in the same boat. The nearest reef shop is 2 hours away. Still haven't bought any livestock online. I usually make a pilgrimage once every month or two to the LFS in St Louis. Nothing beats the interaction of talking to the folks at a really good LFS. Glad to have you with us.

Welcome to R2R!!! One possibility is to plan trips that align with locations that do have great stores or where there will be a Reef-a-Palooza, regional or local expo, or even a frag swap. Additionally, I know that you said that you prefer to see the coral before you buy and some of the online vendors have WYSIWYG sections which stands for "what you see is what you get". We're glad you're here - good luck!

I dont blame you but there are some great honest online vendors. I like @LiveAquaria and @AquaSD there WYSIWYG are truly accurate depictions of what you are getting.

I live in North Central WV, I use to live in Las Vegas.. Totally Different Way of Life here, it's not a total shock I've lived in a small town b4. I'm not to far from Pittsburgh but that would be a stretch, to a point....Time for some Pictures for yall... the closest LFS has a decent fish stock but no corals to speak of
