Hello, starting a build thread on my 165 gallon mixed reef tank. I transferred my 34 gallon inhabitants to this tank.

The tank is only a few months old. It is in the middle of the new tank uglies but there seems to be an excess of hair algae. I will be cutting down on lighting. I checked phosphate 3 weeks ago and it was at .12 ppm. I dropped it to .02 ppm. I'll test it again soon. I've been doing 30 gallon water changes about every week.

So an update: The algea has reduced a bit, but there's still a fair amount lingering. I hope this is just the part of the cycle, but my high phosphate (1.0ppm) reading suggests my live rock may be leaching.
