On mine, it slides into the base and there is a screw that goes into the curved rail through the base

The bottom frame screws into the curved bar

Should be the same on any of the bottom frame attachments. As for the top corners the other part slides in to each side and Allen screw to whatever length you need. Hope this helps.

As you see I have 2 sliding into one another. They do have 1 long piece.

Wow thanks for posting this. I have two taotronic led fixtures and i also dont want to hang from ceiling. I have a 75 gallon tank - do you think the longer one would work to tang two fixtures from?
