I have bee very courios about these led's and have looked at numerous reviews. People seem to have success growing sps coral easily with these lights. Any ideas? I thought about buying a couple for my 75 since the price is reduced now..

I think as with anything else the answers you get on this are gonna vary but I used the chinese LED's for the last 4 years on my 120 sps dominant tank. From the start I struggled to maintain decent color and got rather slow growth. I always had great PE however none of my sps corals never really had that pop. I spent months messing around with different intensities but no matter what I did I was never happy. I just fairly recently switched back to a T5 8x54 ATI sunpower fixture and within a month I started getting the colors I was looking for. However I am sure there are some on here that have had good experience with them on here, I just wasnt one of them. In the end it was sub par colors and minimal growth. If I could go back I would have definitely spent the extra money on a more name brand fixture.

Ya now that you mentioned it there was a period of time that I struggled with STN and RTN and browning out. If you are gonna go with this style fixture i would definitely consider oceanrevive, reefbreeders, or reef radiance. I hear of a lot of people having success with these on the other forums.

I should add that I am just talking about issues with my sps. I did however have success keeping softies and LPS with these lights. Good growth and decent color. Whatever your goals may be definitely check out the 3 I mentioned.
