170 gallons of salt question

I'm setting up my first big tank, and was wondering if it would hurt to add salt to the aquarium after it's full of ro/di water? I'm using 2 37 gallon trash cans for ro/di water/mixing, and it just seems like it would be easier to add salt after it was all flowing through the entire system.

That's what I do and recently did. I filled tank 3/4 full and added 2.5 cases of salt to tank, , added sand and let it clear and then began bacteria with live rock in the sump before transfer.
