Currently in build phase!

Things left to do
Reinforce the floor...
Reseal the tank just incase...
Finish closed loop system....
Add baffles to sump...
Plump sump and return...
Build diy rocks....
Finish stand....
Build reefpi...
Build background shadow box...

It's come along way so far but still a long ways to go!

Me making list usually ends with doing the first thing on the list and then jumping around.....

Nice setup! Cannot wait to see more.

not much done this week just small stuff that doesnt add up much to pictures but i can explain the few things i have done

- planned out reinforcement of the floor trying to finish this either saturday afternoon or sunday project.....

- removed 2 bulk heads to confirm sizes for replacement and noticed the reason for the need for a new stand...
previous owner decided to replace them and felt like silicone was a good idea....and wasnt bulk heads were loose and that explains why water damage was found on the sump area of the stand and no were else not down the sides or on the top where the tank sat.....
so the reason for selling was they assumed the tank was failing or failed.

plan is still to reseal the whole tank....

btw removing the bulkheads turned out to be a pain on top of silicone some kinda of blue glue was used to lock the nuts....

If all goes well with the floor the next few weeks should be full of smaller projects and pictures.....

in progress is the lighted shadow box....either just lighted or lighted with more rocks in the box for depth not sure yet but it is a started project i applied oracal matte lamination to the back of the tank aka frosted vinyl but more common since most sign shops carry it and its not that expensive if anyone chooses to go this route call a few shops for the price as this stuff is very cheap a few years ago when i worked there it was only 212$ a 5o yd roll so roughly 1.4$ a linear foot.... frosted tint which is the same as vinyl just a fancy clear backing film is like 3.25$ linear foot and sign shop frosted vinyl is around 2.25$ linear foot where each of these places will try to charge $10+ a foot

sorry that kinda ran on a bit..... if anyone wants some instructions on application of it i can explain it and take pictures to help as i have 8 years experience in the sign shop and 8 years working with automotive/commercial/residential window tinting.....

after the shadow box i'll put together the sump and probably reseal the tank at the same time as the smell will suck.....

at some point im going to have to get serious about the aquascape

still all over the place on what to do.... suggestions welcome

ideas are one large flowing arch from one weir into the center but not connected to the bed but broken along the way leaving the landing for the arch in the bed and the broken part laying in the bed

possible multi tiered like 2 levels a cave/overhang between the weirs with sand on the top leaving a rock edge to hold back the sand

IDK ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY IVE SEARCHED FOR HOURS FOR IDEAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
