Sigh, was cutting plastic egg crate to fit the bottom of the 180 last night and set two of the glass tops on the garage floor. Accidentally stepped on one and broke it.

How much sand (if any) and rock (which type?) are you planning to use?

Using rice sized aragonite so that mp40s won't blow it around. I will reuse my live rock which is Fiji and nicely encrusted with coralline. I'll need to buy some more live rock for a good base. Hoping I can find some for a decent price. Also, buying an atomic reef reactor from Rick for my gfo/carbon. I already ordered the eheim 1000 compact pump for it.

So the line into the skimmer pump is a hose barb. Is there an attachment or something to weigh down vinyl tubing so it won't pop out of your sump?

Thanks for all the help. My buddy stayed and helped me plumb it. Still dealing with the skimmer dilemma. Rinsed the sand and put it in along with the dry live rock I bought from gmoney. Has about 35 gallons of water in it do far as well.
