I've seen that "brittleness" of the fins described as a symptom of Brooklynella, as well.

Since they are in a FOT, you could treat them with the "trifecta". Metroplex, Kanaplex, and Furan-2. This will cover a wide range of bacterial infections, as well as Brook as mentioned above by @Maritimer

10-14 days. Ignore the part of the instructions where it says only use 4 doses. Also even if you see improvement within a few days still continue for at least 10 days minimum. Most fish are slow to respond to antibiotics though.

Are you currently treating with copper? I would avoid mixing copper and ABX if possible depending on the situation.


How long have you been running copper? What kind of copper and what is your Cu level?
