180 Glasscages rimless tank

Hello and thanks for allowing me to join. I picked up and used 180 gallon Glasscages rimless and reef ready tank. This set up was sitting for a while with some good equipment as although they where in poor condition due to lack of cleaning and maintenance. Equipment consists of a lifereef berlin sump and refugium, 3 radion xr30 pro with light bar, 2 MP 40, 1 lifereef calcium reactor with CO2 tank, lifereef 5 gallon ATO tank and a corallife turbo twist 12x ultraviolet light.
Well ended going through cleaning all of the equipment used diluted murstic acid to get rid of the calcium build up with made the task easier. Tank and sump turned out nice and clean. Radion lights torn apart and cleaned heavy build up of dust on fans and cooling fins. Noted few led bulbs not working and in the process of sending for repairs. MP40 dismantled and cleaned from build up and unfortunately dry sides where noisy so working on replacing the bearings. All pumps where taken apart found dead snails in the impeller housing cleaned and ran all good there. Everything else is in stand by while waiting for electrician to run a dedicated 30 amp line to the tank for all to be powered and doing cosmetic repairs to the stand. I will be posting pics of my progress.

Here is what I did this past weekend with some coral rock I picked up locally. Please give feedback on the rock placement or any feedback of my build.

heck yeah! beautiful tank let also not forget about that back yard....dang!!!

I agree GC make some nice tanks and life reef stuff is pretty amazing too I hear.

I wonder if you can do something about the clear glass overflow boxes. maybe reef safe paint? IDK just a thought either way nice tank!

There are 2 black plastic covers with slits on top for the overflow. I didn't take a picture if them at the time they were soaking in diluted muratic acid to clean out all calcification. They turned out great after a day in the acid.

#futregoal is to get big tank like that once i decided if i want to fix up my current house or look for a bigger on in the next 2 years or so.

I would make a bigger panel opening in the stand. That small opening will be a pain in the butt trust me.

This is looking good. You can never go wrong with a Glasscages tank they are great people.
I would get some real LIVE Rock from one of the vendors like Tampa Bay saltwater or Gulf Live rock. This will really help get your tank started right and prevent a lot of headaches.

This is the new updates to the stand made 2 side stands that are movable to place a tank for a ato and another for dosing and possible monitoring system and calcium reactor if needed.

Ok finally got everything button up did a fresh water run to check for leaks and water levels. Only issue is the mag pump for the 3 media reactor began to have issues. Ordered a new one. So far all is running ok,knock on wood.

Finally have all pumps set up and functioning. Now the aquascaping begins just finished soaking in dechlorinator the eliminate any chlorine residue from the bleaching process. Washing sand now and drying rock.

This a start. Don't know if I should ad more or leave it as it is. Eventually as this tank gat cycled through and settled I want to ad some softies and some anemones. I thin the rocks are high enough to give future coral room to grow and still have room for fish to swim. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
