Hi All!

I have a 180 and my center supports have started to sag into my water. I have some low heat LEDs and if I remove my glass top the beams come back out of the water. I'm starting to think whatever material these are made from are expanding from being completely submerged and exacerbating the issue. This tank has been up and running for 2 years with no changes to the main flow or overflow. These supports are held in place with some small screws on either side and this is a glass tank that is seamless on the front.

I'm a bit perplexed on what to do with this.

Wow. Any pics. Center supports in my mind should have give where they flex to the point of deforming and getting wet. What brand of tank?

its night time in my tank but here you can see the far one pretty submerged and not the closer one has just started dipping under in the center. The far one had started a dip about 5 weeks ago. I thought it was just the weight of the glass tops so i was making sure i placed things back properly and made sure my lights were not resting on the tops.

The only other thing i can think of is somehow my water level up top has creeped up a bit somehow. When i first started looking at this for the far bar i pulled my mufflers for my overflow to check they were not causing issue but it did not seem to make a drastic difference.

Ok so after typing out my last response I pulled my mufflers again. After a couple min my front bar had come back out of the water. I decided to move my overflow tubes out and to the side so they were splashing directly down the drains. after waiting 5 min my bars were suddenly out of the water.

I used to occasionally see the cross supports on my tank but it was caused by my water level being higher from algea in the teeth of my overflow weirs.

I suspect you're right that it has more to do with water level than the supports bowing

I started 40 gallons mixing earlier today for a water change tomorrow. While the main pump is down ill pull my overflow box and give it a good clean. I already have to pull my skimmer as its become gummed up and needs a citric acid soak... so its going to be a long day.
