180 stand and scape

Yeah it was just to thick for the cutter I had. Oh well I’m in no hurry I mean my 55 is working just fine. So I’m going to get started on a plywood 100 sump this weekend. 420 delayed a little longer.

Great build!!

Here’s a picture of the fans I purchased very quit and they have multiple settings.

I’m going to mount the one behind the skimmer blowing in and the other behind the light blowing out.

I think if I’m going to enclose the stand I’m going to need to do this. I had decided to take my time on this and do it right. So I should just break down and do it.

Like I was saying just preventative install and new air going into the skimmer constantly. The fans are 4w. But I just wanted to point out my temperature monitor is in the picture and hasn’t changed since Saturday. We live in San Diego so we have to keep our central on always because temperatures fluctuate big time. But you could always try without, then if you decide you need them add them later. Or if you just want to install like I did just to be safe I’ll give you the eBay link for the fans.

Also thanks for the compliment on my pup we have two the white one is Kila as in Kilo not Killa haha she will be 1 and our male Griffin will be 2 next month. Both born on the same day a year apart. Bought from two different breeders.

Thanks. Yes they made life so much neater and simple under there. Also very simple with everything marked for the switch panel I love it.
The kids made the whole project worth it. Now they both want to build the 420gallon. But they both asked if we can build them high bed frames with desktop space under like a bunk bed with no lower bunk. Hmmmm they both have queens this could get interesting.

Haha little engineers, love it!! Daddy’s got some work ahead of him!

Assume build I wish I would have done that with my kids they both love fish and one likes coral but I should have had them build more, now I have to get my son to come to my house to help me move things and get ready for my new tank

I’ll be completely honest my son is the one that gave me the idea for the power stations. I was sitting there debating on how I was going to do the power strips and he says just make some dad [emoji848] I absolutely loved the idea and went for it. He likes to help with everything I do though, he just helped me put upgraded injectors in my f250 he still jumps from air tools haha.

My son keeps telling me that he’s gonna do all the cleaning in the 420 because he says he’ll fit just fine. I said what about the volitan, puffer, and urchin. He said I have to get him diving gear of course haha. He’s a little riot.

So got home and got started on the sump project

Ok so that went well. Now on to the 125

Well lesson learned today glass cutting fail
So now I have to decide if I just want to have it cut down and have a 65 gallon or if I’m going to just build a plywood sump so I can keep it at 100 gallons and use the bottom glass of this tank for the viewing panel [emoji848]
Probably the route I’m going to take.
Trial and error guess that’s how we learned to walk right.
I was just looking at your build thread. It is cool to see what you have been doing. I want to integrate the plugs and switches into my next stand. I didn't see what was going on that you called "glass cutting fail". Were you just pulling off trim and broke the glass ?
