New to R2R, but been around the hobby for a little while and thought I would post some pics of our new build; our first serious one in several years.
Tank is being built by Crystal Dynamics in Oceanside and should be ready next week. The wall has be ripped apart to accommodate it and the frame of the stand is almost complete.
Some Specs...
Tank:
4ft (l) x 3ft (w) x 2ft (h), eurobraced with starphire glass on the front pane and left side, and a corner overflow in the right rear corner.
Cabinets:
Homemade, semi-built into the wall next to the fireplace/tv
Skimmer:
Vertex Alpha 200
Lighting:
So far its 4 Kessil A360WE Blues and 1 Ecotech Radion XR30W Pro (might still do some t5s)
Sump:
Trigger System Ruby 36, probly have a Kessil A160W Sun for the refugium
Return:
Ecotech Vectra M1
Circulation:
Ecotech MP40
Dosing:
Bubble Maggus
So, in short, it's nothing that hasn't been done before, but I hope to share a few pics and maybe some of the little tricks I have learned over the years will be useful to others, and I absolutely welcome feedback and advise of any kind.
