180g build!

Did the acid wash last night on the rocks. Was a pretty simple process.

I have them drying up outside. Hoping to get started on the scape tonight! It's almost time for saltwater!

We've got saltwater in the tank! Another weekend of work in the books.

Let the cycle begin!

Got running water from the inlet of the water heater. You can see all the fittings we need to use to get it to 1/4" tubing

Valve opening the RO/DI to the mixing station below. The smaller valve is to get RO/DI out in a bucket for whatever I would need it for

I used BioSpira to get the tank started. I started testing the water before anything and it read 0,0,0.

After the BioSpira, I dosed 16mL of ammonia and got the ammonia up to about 2ppm. Going to test again in a little while and see how it's doing!

Ammonia down to about 1.2 last night. Let's see what it looks like tonight.

Exciting times...

Been a while since I updated this thread!

We've been making some upgrades around the house. Here's what's taken up most of my time lately:

Onto fish stuff...

We've got new inhabitants in the tank!

Started with 5 chromis and 3 anthias. Unfortunately I lost 2 chromis and 1 Anthia inexplicably jumped out during a feeding one day!

We've also began working on the wood structure that will cover the metal stand.

Hoping to be done this weekend with it!

Woodwork is 99% done, put in an old iPad I had lying around built in to be able to control the Apex. Loved the way it came out!

Added some LEDs to the top of the canopy to add some color up there as well.
