I am in the planning stages of building a 180ish gallon tank. My current 100G is acrylic. I dont like acrylic so I will be going back to rimless low iron glass. I have been looking around at different vendors and haven't found the perfect fit yet. I keep coming back to Waterbox and Redsea because for a tank and stand from anyone else it costs more. I am leaning towards the Waterbox 220.6 because I like the design better the than the Reefer 750 XXL. Besides Glasscages, Crystal Dynamics, Planet Aquarium, customaquariums.com and SCA are there any other recommended vendors? Does anyone have any opinions on waterbox tanks?

I just watched the company’s video on how to build the 220 gallon stand. I know it is a well respected product, but I can’t see myself trusting ‘coated plywood’ like that with 1,700 0r more pounds of water. Example: Those little plastic ‘leveling feet’ that get screwed in. Plastic gets brittle, no? Again, that’s a lot of weight. To me the whole thing it seems more like a TV stand! Just my opinion.

I agree that's a definite drawback. I started looking into aluminium T-Slot frames. They seem like a good option that will allow me to customize the skin and easily remove panels for access.
