180g tank with sps and two MP60

I'm running two mp60s on a 6' tank 180g. Have quite a bit of sps and not sure if I'm running them properly. I run reefcrest all day max 60%. I'm also using the foam guards and clean them every other day. I have them on the sides of the tank, high and towards the front.

It wholly depends. Look at your SPS are they getting flow, are there dead spots, detritus build up?

My general rule is past SPS and the whole tank with as much as possible for a few hours everyday. I have two flush cycles where every pump is on 100% constant for 30 min. And the rest of the day the flow varies with different programs and patterns. I have a MP60, 100% during light cycle and 50% darkness. Also have a Tunze 6105 that runs 100% most all day with several types of self made programs. I may look to add another 6105 at some point.

Ah so even at night there should be decent flow. I guess that makes sense since that's when sps really have high PE.

I'm going to change my programming to use a combo of TSM and reefcrest, and do more at night too.

I don't want to go too much over 60% though as it seems to bother the fish and lps and kicks sand up.
