1850+ Gallon system build

Sounds like an a really nice looking display. Have you considered going with a radiant heating solution? My system is ~1700 gallons and radiant heating is the way to go to not only save money but also avoid electrical heater disasters due to heater failures. I can speak for everyone in saying that we are looking forward to seeing some pictures. I would be interested to see how your tank and fish room is laid out to see the space where humidity controls are being installed.
Rough layout

Drilling. Went from (1) 2” drain and (1) 1-1/2” drain to (4) 2” drains and (1) 1-1/2” drain

going with an in overflow closed loop design with (7) 1” outputs. Each with 2 eductor/penductor random flow nozzles.Probably going to place the pump lower to avoid bubbles.

The tank came with 3 large coral inserts. They are amazing quality but still I’ve decided not use them. And they were a huge PITA to get out. 2 smaller ones weighed about 80lbs. The middle largest one about 200lbs but was in 2 sections

So you were the one who got that tank. I was talking with the former owner about it but couldn't pull the trigger due to the down turn in the economy. Good luck with it and if you ever decide to get rid of it, feel free to ship it back home. :)

Scratch removal is done!

Trim is partly done waiting on the granite for the lower ledge and front!

New substrate is in! I’ve got another 4 buckets to put in I think.

And the first 300 gallons is in the tank and heating up so I can start on the rock scape.

That's one HUGE tank!!! And it's awesome!

I would be afraid in my house. I have two kids under 3yr old, I would be cringing every time they go ner the bottom half of tank.
