1K Icecap Gyre in a 10g?

Will everything, including my sand, be blown away by one of these? What if I took one of the blades off?

Any other alternatives for a 10g would be great. Currently running two Koralia nanos and would like to upgrade to something that can produce a little more chaotic flow.

Yes, its too much for a 10g even using half. I am using half in an 18g cube and had to drop the water level a couple inches to avoid pushing water over the side on the lowest setting.

I was a little worried on putting one of these on my 20g frag tank, but gave it a try. Works great and I have it ramp up to 90%. You can adjust the angle of the flow and the power level, so while it is capable of more flow than a 10g can probably handle, I think you could just turn it down.

Id look the tunze 6020 or 6040’s.

I feel like if I took a blade off and turned it way down and maybe put it horizontal rather than vertical it would be fine.

I just worry about the glass thickness of an Aqueon 10g and the gyre motion beating on the seams/ thin glass.

You will not be able to use some of the settings, its way too much flow for a 10 gallon even at 50%
