You can also make a burrow in the sand in a lower flow are, use a piece of wide diameter PVC, place pipe within depression, and place the foot of the anemone within the PVC pipe.

Cardinal reside within the spines of sea urchin as young fish, they flee into the spines at any sign of danger. Sometimes they see the anemone as a refuge as well but rarely get close enough to get stung.

You can try to bury a piece of pvc and place it in to attach too. This has worked for me with LTA's in the past

Well MikeyAl, it took a few days, but he is happily attached!!! Thanks to everyone for the help. Now the trick is to get him to eat.

Great. Don't try to feed too much. I rarely feed mine directly. If you do, use pee size table shrimp. He will take it.

That's what I've been trying (pea-sized table shrimp). I've been trying to feed it every other day. How often do you feed yours?

Once a month. He gets most of what he needs from lights and foods broadcast in the tank.

He is open and anchored and his color is a really nice purple. All the tissue looks healthy Thanks for the help and I'll post on his progress periodically.

At first I turned it off, but I got worried that leaving it off for too long might disrupt the biological filtration in my rocks. So then I "boxed" the nem in with some chunks of pukani and turned the flow down. It took a few days and on occasion I'd find it had "escaped" my rocks. When that happened I just placed it back and it eventually grabbed on.

Well, I'm crestfallen. After 3 months, my anemone just died. I am completely confused as to why. It was, by all appearances, very healthy. However, in the last two weeks it moved twice. I noticed in the last two days it was not eating as well. Today I found it dead and stuck in my powerhead.

I was feeding it shrimp, which I would cut up into pea sized pieces. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
