1st attempt adding second flame angel

1 hour in so far they had a fight now for the last hour the resident male starts his dance and the new one just avoids him no chasing in the last 45 minutes. Very impressed with the new smaller one for finishing the fight my coral beauty started as well. Fingers crossed that they came to a quick understanding.

How is your flame hawk as a tank mate?
I so want one but with all the horror stories I have read, I'm gun shy lol.

My flame hawk is great my large flame angel likes to rub against him with a dance to show him hes boss. He however doesn't like my blenny but is never the one to start the problem he also shares his favorite spot with both shrimp and one is very small.

It may be a individual type issue with some hawks but hes definitely been great. Easily has the funniest personality! When my butterfly is eating a clam he perches above it and watches then out of nowhere he runs in violently attacks the claims then runs away like he stole something.

I’m curious which of the “red shirts” is gonna die. I honestly don’t know why folks have issues with the flame hawkfish. Mine gets along with everything.

Brave, I have a BiColor that has slaughtered a rusty and a red stripe within 24 hours. I would love to add another dwarf angel(s), but the BiColor has to go.

I have 4 dwarfs in this aquarium. I use to have 7 adults together 5 years ago you want to add two juveniles at the same time then two sub adults this will spread aggression and will start a pecking order. Obviously a Rouge individual could happen. Having a back up plan is a good idea.
