Been running tank for over 6 months stocked with 2 Cardinals, 2 Clowns, 1 Foxface, Diamond Goby, Peacock Wrasse and Lawn mowy blenny + a clean up crew of snails + shrimp. 40kg of dry rock. All is good. Last weekend I went to LFS and having talked with them came away with 1 zoa frag and 1 Xenia. Having understood the instructions I proceeded to acclimate, coral dip and ultimately secure to rock. Xenia on own island at bottom and zoa likewise. My lighting schedule is still 12hrs using 2 x kessil 160s/spectral controller. The schedule ramps up to a max 30white/40 intensity.
Bottom line after 3 odd days my Xenia has disappeared and day 5 my frag of 3 zoas, 1 remains but is now closed.
The flow I felt across both was mild, there was a gentle sway on the Xenia at first.
I have caught my Foxface in the act of nipping the Xenia, would it be conclusion to suggest he has an appetite. Should I feed more if the case? I tend to feed twice a day combination of frozen mysis, copepods and dried nori.
Parameters to blame or lighting either?
Below images show day 1 and as you move right and below, the demise :-(
Thanks in advance

Foxface are reef safe with caution and some just eat corals even when well fed. They may only eat certain corals over others though. Someone with more experience may want to chime in still.

An expensive appetite on this occasion
