1st Coral ready for tank, Torch

Our torch coral is just about to complete its 76 day quarantine!!!
Its our first coral to be introduced to DT.
We have been reading about placing(gluing) torch on angle rather than vertical, for better growth.
Anyone here want to weigh in on this?

Oh boy. Torch corals are one of the pickier euphyillia. I would have suggested a Frogspawn or branching hammer. But seeing as you already have the torch, they like to have very nice flow and semi strong light. It should be placed away from other good spots for potential corals as torches have one of the most power sweeper tentacles in the euphyillia family. I have never heard of the angle thing. I have seen many grown just fine vertical.
Just another heads up, make sure your "big 3" parameters are stable. As stated above they are a pickier euphyillia, so they don't handle big swings very well. Seeing as you kept it alive for 76 days already I would assume you are in good shape so far.
On a side note. All euphyillia like a dirtier tank. A dirtier tank has Nitrates 5ppm-25ppm and phosphates.2ppm-.5ppm

You might want to consider placing the torch on the sand bed, they can have a lil weight to them ,torches can expand pretty wide and you might have a hard time putting corals near it if you glue it on a rock, this is an older pic of my torch corals
