I put my fish in yesterday with some snails and crabs.
One fish had normal poo and the other white and stringy. I read that white means parasites.
If they both came from the same pet shop and tank wouldn’t they both be infected?

It can also be caused by stress, not fully digested food, etc.. They all appear healthy, eat well, all that?
If so I would just keep an eye on them for now

Ty for your quick responses. I’ve been lurking and learning. I’m so scared I’m going to mess up.
I was so happy the water was finally ready for fish.

Stress or diet (such as feeding mysis can cause white).
I question age of tank and how long tank was cycled?

Live rock with dry, live sand and some kind of fancy water they sold me that was “bio active”. I cycled for like 2 weeks. It’s a fluval 13.5 and all the water tests come back fine.
This store has no bad reviews so it’s probably stress and they probably sell me way more than I need.

any water test results?

they can be in the same tank at a fish store and not both have the same parasites. This depends on how long they were in the tank, life cycle of the parasite, eating habbits, etc..
