Aqueon twin flow overflow accessory kit. Pet solutions was the first place that came up on a search but most supply companies carry them.

Great that helps a lot! I'm just starting to gather all the stuff I need to have for plumbing! I'm drilling the acrylic tank tomorrow!

Good simple set up csharps42, My sump/refugium is made from a 75 gal. actual water after displacement is only about 30 gal. But it gives me the room to put my skimmer, 50-60 lbs. live rock, dsb w/macro, and a nice size return section. Sumps can be as simple or as elaborate as you want to make them. Their purpouse is basicly to filter and to add water volume to your system. You can make them out of almost anything (depending on the size). And as for a rule of thumb, go as big as your budget and the amount of space lets you. There are many variations you can choose from but in the end you will find the one that suits your needs. My first sump was made from a ten gal. tank sitting under a 55. Good luck!

Yeah I was going to put all my dry rock in the sump till it got its good bacteria back on it again! I'm going to get my bulkhead tomorrow I'm drilling a 1 1/2 hole in my acrylic tank. Do I need to drill another hole for the return?

Wish I would have built my first sump!! Here's my sump area, from light to right drain with no filter sock, skimmer, dual reactor, reverse light cycle frag setup(nano maxspect)and nano hydor for dead spots, auto top off tank on top then return pump with no Dang on micro bubbles

Merck, ya I've got a 20l sump set up now! Will do! I'm going to probably set up the protein skimmer today just to see what it looks like/ how big it is.

ok glad I asked because I was just going to make one!

Remember to use aquarium silicone or food safe silicone. Anything else will probably be toxic in the tank.

Got it ya I was just talking with local coral guy and he showed me the stuff to use!
