1st tank! Temp solution

I cannot stress how temporary this is, but it IS in fact my first saltwater tank.... The LR and Water came from another forum member and is fully cycled, and I found a small brittle star, and a scallop in it this morning. Im stoked...and yes I know the tank hangs off the table a little, Im going to fix that today.
BUT ITS MY FIRST TANK!!!

Hopefully Ill get the stand and canopy built for the 125 over spring break.
Btw i do have a different light that Ill be using when my purple hornet frag comes in thursday. Im gonna check and post parameters this evening, and start a log book.


My little star looks like a tiger stripped brittle, but might be an assorted hes about 3/4 to an inch tip to tip.

I just realized I hadnt posted in this thread again. Ill have to give you guys an update.

Well since the last pic, which was the first pic. I got ahold of some free purple hornets, so in prep for that I had to upgrade the lighting. I know this is ghetto, but its just till the big tank is setup, which BTW I started on that stand yesterday.

So first upgrade. I added 5 astrea snails, and a peppermint shrimp.

Found some strawberry nems, and brittle stars.

Then I added the light upgrade. 400w 20k MH 24 inches from the water so I dont cook everything, and added a 6 inch rock of GSP, two kenya tree frags, and a fire and ice frag with 7 heads. I paid 15 bux for all frags.

Then the purple hornets came in, and while I was pickin them up i got a free frag of clove polyps, and 4 blue leg hermits.

Then upon inspecting things last night I found these guys. Hydroids, asternia star, mystery star on my GSP, spiorbid worms, flat worm.

and finally the stand for the 125 im working on

Thanks. One of my purple hornets is melting, but they were not in very great health when shipped. Sad...Hopefully I can save the other one, but its still closed after 5 days. hasnt opened once.

WOAH!!!

Last night Im checking things out after all teh coral was closed up for the night, and guess what...5-6 bristle worms all over the GSP. Ive heard good and bad about them. They are your standard run o the mill red bristle with the grey stripe. No way I can catch em, they are fast.

Updated pix as of today...purple hornet started to open and fire and ices were doing good. I really need a fish or two in this thing. Anyone wanna donate some chromis to a good cause?

lol thanks, here are some new pics

Picked up two green chromis, and a very emaciated cleaner wrasse(rescue). They are happy now. Purple hornet finally opened, but its faded very badly. Hopefully itll color up soon. Might target feed it some miracle grow for corals.

Oh, btw, after one night of the chromis and cleaner in the tank, my glass has virtually zero pods on it anymore. I need to get a hob refugium or something.
