. Although it's been a fast learning curve we have survived with only 2 fish losses. Still struggling with calcium, magnesium levels. Dosing maybe? Chiller also does not keep up. In a room with lots of naturally flowing light heats it up. Algae not much of a problem but starfish suck!

Welcome home! You'll love it here.

Gorgeous tank thank you for sharing. Keep us posted!

If you are not dosing yet, I'd recommend starting ASAP. Can't really tell what all you have in there, but I'm sure your Alkalinity is probably dropping, try to stabilize it! You could go the easy route and dose Kalk in your ATO, which would be better than nothing! Welcome to R2R, by the way! You got a great system to start with!

Thanks! Currently I test and dose about 2 times a week. But as I learn how to read my tank I can tell my levels are swinging to far. Believe it or not alk is my pretty steady one. I thought that a little strange myself but trying two different types of testers has been proving it. I'll try to get some better pics because I have a question related to them. When I see other folks on here with their tanks I see a lot of great colors. Mine does not seem to pull that much color? I know lights play a part but is it possible to loose color by your tank levels?

Correct, depending on what types of corals you have, water parameters play a role in coloration. You should hop over to the member's tanks forum, start a journal, post some frontal views and maybe a list of your corals and we could get a better idea of what is going on. There are some amazing SPS freaks on R2R that can tell you exactly what you need to do to get better colors. If you have mostly softies / LPS we could help there as well. SPS tanks usually require cleaner systems, so almost no nitrates or phosphates, but then again, it could be a number of things causing them to not color up. Try posting up a journal and ask your questions there, you will usually get a ton of awesome people willing to give their advice!!

That's perfect! Still getting used to using a forum. My first on as a matter of fact. Thanks for the info!
