2:1 for leds...Why not for T-5?

So if the ratio for Leds is 2 Blue to every 1 White. So why cant that apply to T-5 Lighting ? If i have a 6 bulb fixture then i should Be able to have 4 Actinic Bulbs and 2 10k.

Sound about right ? I know the thing to do would be 3 actinic and 3 white. But would 2-1 work ?
 
I would never run 50/50 white to blue with T-5. I run pretty much run 6-1 blue to white. It's more about personal preference.
 
Ive run 3 super actinic And 3 Aquablue+ Had great growth.

I have 3 weeks till my LEDS get here. So im going to try a 2-1 Ratio actinic to 10k.

There old bulbs. And i have my old 10 k also if i need to switch them back in. Wish my Leds would be same day ordering and receiving lol
 
10000K Doesn't mean the same for LEDs as it does for other types of lighting, while I would gladly use a 10000K MH or T5, a 10000LED is almost worthless. White LEDs have a narrow peak at 450nm and phosphors that convert some of that blue light to other colors. A 10000K LED offers only green and yellow light, wavelengths that do very little to support photosynthesis. The best comparison in a T5 would be a low-end 6500K/actinic 50/50, this is not something many T5 users would choose.
This explains the 2:1 ratio, a 4000K NW combined with 2 RBs will give the same color temperature (12000 to 14000K) but offer a much broader spectrum than a single RB and a 10000K CW.
