I have had a 2.5 gallon pico reef for about a month now ( after cycling is done) and i have stable water chem parameters; with a peppermint shrimp, toad stool leather (center piece) 3 zoas, a pulsing zania and some gsps ( off to the side). i plan on getting an bubble tip anemone after my friends splits any time now i do have a power-head running in it to help the toadstool shed. i was wondering what fish i could put in there i was thinking a green banded goby or a small clown. my friend has an 80 gallon tank and we share a 20 gallon quarantine tank. I would love a clown to surf in my power- head flow and host in my future anemone and toadstool ( they do host in toadstool leathers ) but i dont want an unhappy fish. i do plan on keeping this tank long term and am dosing it with the salt water that we make. i am an engineering student so im pretty anal about keeping perfect chem parameters any ideas???? (also im very dyslexic so go easy on me grammar ***** if you need clarifications please ask.) also my gsp is mad due to the bubble alge taking over i am going to get a crab temporarily to get it off.

I also have a 2.5 Pico, running about 6 months now. Put 3 of these red spotted Gobies in. Trimma. Stay very small. Lost one to a Maxi mini carpet anemone but other two are doing great.

are they active fish i have a high flow i want fish that surf a little i really would like a green banded goby because there pretty fish

or perferably small clowns to have because i designed the tank to be optimal for clowns playing
Fairly active. Do perch some or just hang mid water. Very active at feeding time.
Really don't think clowns would be happy for long.
Clown Goby are pretty but they tend to just sit on bottom in my experience.

We're did you get yours I'm on a budget right now hence the 2.5 gallon tank
I've got 30$ for a fish or two but if their inexpensive then I'll grab 3 do they do well with peppermint shrimp

i do plan on getting an very small anemone but my shrimp has flourished in my tank for 2 weeks

A pair of clown gobies would be pretty cool and they are known to host in toadstools. However they aren't the most active fish, and a occellaris clownfish would surely swim around more.
