Hello,

I am running a new Red Sea Nano Max with LIFE rock and live sand. Carbon and Floss is all that is in the back sump other than the non running skinner.

I started the tank with Fritz Turbo 900 at the recommended amount for 20gallons which I believe was 2 caps of the stuff. I added 2 tiny clowns at the same time. I feed flakes.

I have 8.0 PH, .25 Ammonia (possibly false), 0 Nitrite, 0 Nitrate. Water is super clean and nothing growing. I did add some Prime just in case with the ammonia but the clowns are just fine.

My question is should the parameters be changing? I have had these sane readings for the last 10 days. I have not done a water change and can’t honestly tell if anything is happening for the cycle or if anything is gonna happen. I know it’s early but I thought there would be something happening in the water....

Thanks!

If your ammonia is good then you’re probably good with the bacteria addition you made. Take it slow with livestock. Now you just have to get through the algae phase.
May the odds be ever in your favor.
