2 AI Sol Blues with SPS?

I want to know if these will be enough for my 36"x36" sps only. As I said, I have 2 of these. Do they grow sps fast? Do I need to add t5 or MH supplements? Thanks

IMO you would want 4 of these for a 36"x36" SPS tank. With only 2 AI you're definitely going to need t5s ( I would have 8 tubes). IMO you're better off with a single 400w halide with t5 supplement over a tank like this.

I have 2 on an 80, and I've had decent growth from my montis and the few acros I have in my system. If it's a very deep tank you will have some trouble. If not you should be OK.

If you run ozone or other water clarifiers I would think it would be plenty. Maybe add a 3rd down the road and place them in a triangle depending on your Par results.

It's not the intensity to penetrate the water, it's the lack of spread on the LED. You need a lot of them to cover that footprint. You will run into issues with your SPS with only 2. The tank will be very dim overall. Don't take my word for it, search around. Feel free to check my thread with my 32x32 cube. With the 12" height a 250w halide would be more than sufficient and very economical.

I disagree somewhat, I have 5 AO Vega and on 300 gal and I also have a par meter and I found out that I can only run them around 40% because they are very strong lights. I also run 4 metal halides 5 hours a day. If you asked me would I go LED again I would tell you to run T5 and metal halide because the growth has been nearly as good. My previous tank was metal Halide and T5 and it could grow anything...

If I do go Led and halide. What are the best bulbs for growth and spectrum? Should I go 250 or 400 and how high should I hang them (halides and leds)
