The first looks like it might be a mycedium chalice. They are a popular group. Some have been named from that group. But not sure if your's is. I have the true robokaki and wwc golden boy. They can be fast growers if well feed.

The second i have seem at a few LFS here. It is in favia family, but don't think it is a true favia but must people in trade and hobby lump them all as favia. Each store gives it a different name. Always along the stardust or similar name. But i dont think it has a real trade name.

That is not a bad price at all. If you like it and are happy with the price then what we think doesn't matter. It is a good price to start to see if you like chalices or can even keep them. Some chalices can go for hundreds of dollars an eye. That would not be a good start for chalices.

The eyes are the center of the ball looking thing. The eyes will change size from a tiny pin dot. To as large as the entire side if the ball they are in the center of. When they eat is when they are at the largest. They will expand it open to capture the food, this is where they eat. At times they will send out small tentacles when eating or sweepers if longer to keep any close coral from entering their area.

They will eat any food. Chalices eat slower than some lps. The food needs to land and stay on the eye long enough for it to open and take it in. If there are any fast eating fish or current the food will be gone before it has to eat.

Chalices take a while to open for me so what I do is when I feed my tank ill usually squirt a bit of food on the corals that take longer to open up and by the time I feed everything else they will usually be ready to feed.

Yea I found that with my acan as well ill feed it a little bit then it will close up a bit then all the feeder tenticals come out
