Hey all I have had 2 fish deaths within a week. All fish were qt and I’ve had them all for over a year, tank parameters are normal and the fish were acting normally, eating normally etc. then one day my chalk bass passed away and not two days later my pajama cardinal passed. Neither have exhibited any signs of disease and the rest of the fish look healthy too, any thoughts on what could be killing the fish?

What test kits are you using?
Anything new introduced?
Any stray voltage?
Any lethargic or unusual change in behavior or breathing ?

And maybe they’re all breathing a little faster right now? But I did just feed them all
Assure the breathing is not continuous. If so, would be gill flukes, ammonia or nitrate elevated.

Nitrate is around 20. Tank has been up for over a year so idk how it could be nitrate and would gill flukes present any particular way? Any way to treat in a mixed reef?

Did you just do a water change the past 72 hours ?

I did a water change Wednesday, 10% on a 40g and I use Red Sea nitrate and ammonia phos is by salifert salinity is a brs refractometer
You may have had a spike after water change im no3, nh4 and by the time you tested- had gone down

parameters, misdose of meds, or fast acting disease.

@Sharkbait19 your brethren needs you

Prazi can be used for flukes - but it can also harm any worms you want in the tank.
If nothing new has been added in a long time, I doubt it is disease. Most likely what @vetteguy53081 said, as it also could explain the more elevated nitrates at time of testing.
