Simple question,

24x24x20 cube - Redsea 200xl

Plan to have SPS at top and lps and softies going down.

I’m trying to prevent shading and shadowing that kills colonies . Hint hint, I killed half of a Stylo colony due to light shading.


2 hydra 32s or 1 xr30?
Opinions ?

IMHO, yes. The G6 lights have quite a bit more spread over the G5s. I have a pair of XR30 G5 Blues and a pair of XR15 G5 Blues across my 72" tank, so a single XR30 G6 is more than enough to provide good coverage for SPS.

Thanks! Hard to say - the 10-15% Radion sales have been on and off for the last 4-5 months. Boxing Day is just a few weeks away so I'd say there's a better than even chance of another Radion sale.

You can't go wrong with either. Another option is the hybrid lighting, you could add the 24" aquatic life in case you need more coverage.

xr30 all the way -love my g5, get a diffuser if u want less shimmer and spread mor evenly or even without perfect light
