I've got a frag tank that only has racks in the display but I'm wanting to add rock and remove the racks to look more natural. I've started looking at these new stax rocks and wanted to know people's thoughts on them and has anyone had experience with them yet? Or what other rock should I be looking at? I've got live rock in my sump but I've got some flatworms and grape caulepra that I'm not wanting to bring into my display. I'm mostly worried about starting a cycle or introducing rocks that have unwanted pests or leach phosphates. Any ideas or opinions on what kind of rock I should look at?

Remind me about the stax rocks in a few days, I just ordered some for a special project I want to do :)

I ordered some as well. Should be getting them tomorrow hopefully

I saw these at MACNA in New Orleans and they looked pretty slick. Would love to see your tanks when you get them installed.

I plan to use them in my upgrade in a few months here. They are perfect for what I want to do.

I plan to get the largest box so I have many pieces to work with.

I ordered the 40lb as well. I'll get some pics up hopefully this weekend if I can get a finished product built

Would be greatly appreciated. The amount of reviews, videos and photos seem a bit limited.

I was a little worried buying it based on that. But it is still a new product and kind of unique so wide adoption may not happen for a while :) guess i could make a youtube video or something

Sorry for the delayed update. I got these about a week ago and just now found some time to start playing with them. These are really cool and I can't wait to see how they look in a few months once coralline starts covering them :) I bought 40lbs for a 45g shallow and I think I've got more than twice the amount that I needed lol. I'll keep the extras to play around with or when I eventually set up another tank. These rocks are awesome they don't need any curing just a rinse to get an dust off and they're good to go. I'll post some pics once I have the finished results in my tank. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer them based on my experiences with them. @nautical_nathaniel how is your project with these coming?

Looks awesome. I really love the look of these rocks but couldn't justify the price without seeing reviews first and didn't want to wait.
I got caribsea south seas shelf rock instead to achieve a similar look but it's not quite the same.

Yes those look quite similar. Only thing different is the thickness of the cuts it appears

The caribsea rock also has only one side cut flat. The other side is mostly flat but not like a cut surface is.
