How many is to many? I ordered a 10g cuc from reefcleaners.org and I think they sent me to many dwarf ceriths. Is having to many going to be a problem?

Lol!!! I had the exact same experience, ordered 30, got a huge amount, started counting, stopped at 500!!! Now normally this would be awesome! Though I had a Biocube.... And 500+ snails.... Well I put them all in and everything was fine, just at nighttime my sand bed would turn black from all the snails coming out

Seems like they "scoop" out their amount for them lol. Well im assuming that your tank is fine with them?? Have corals??

I got the 90g package, you can't even imagine how many snails I have. They seem to be doing well though.

Well I've upgraded since then, but yes I had a full reef. I just put them all in a cup and handful by handful picked out the alive ones, because some where dead and stinky, and I didn't want them going in.

You ordered 30 snails and got 500 wow now that's a deal!

Yes! I even emailed the guy because I thought he might of sent me the wrong order.... And I just would feel guilty if someone else ordered 500 and only got 30, but he responded and said "they tend to go a bit overboard on the dwarf ceriths, but it was the correct order!"

YEP.. some will die off.. if there are too many they will starve back... not to worry... don't forget to feed accordingly. You have more lifeforms now. Make the feeding increases in slow increments.

Reefcleaners is one of those vendors that does his business off word of mouth and forum chats.. by doing a good job... they are top rate.

So aren't you going to tell us who you ordered from? Sounds like the kind if company to order from. I always like to get more bang for my buck. As another person said you will have to feed more to support the larger number of mouths eating but I don't think it will be any kind of problem as long as you don't over feed.

I listed it in the OP. If i get another tank and need a CUC, i WILL order from them. Cant beat the price and how quick it ships. Gonna wait a couple days and once they are acclimated will pick out the dead ones. I have enough algae they will be full for a while lol.
