Nothing compared to the frag racks I see for sale but it works for me. I bought a sheet of egg crate and had an extra mag float laying around and I thought why not make a frag rack. It's simple but good for acclimating corals. I glued the part of the mag float that goes inside of the tank to the egg crate. I cut it with wire cutters. After the glue dried I was done! Took 1 minute to build and 2 to dry and I was good to go! Works great for acclimating corals to my light because I can slide It all the way down to the sandbed and then gradually move it further up.

i use the same design and it has worked for years...
Its a lot more flexible than many of the commercial units which makes it the best

Great minds think alike. I have made quite a few different ones over the years. Just made one yesterday as a matter of fact. The other great thing about them is if you don't get too crazy with the glue, they are easily disassembled.

i made one (mine was uglier) in about the same ammount of time. i need to do one with rails around it to keep the plugs on that don't have the base.

Made one just like this before and it works like a champ!
